Hunger has been a huge problem in India. Food security has become more important than ever. Due to COVID-19 the situation has worsened. We decided to take a step in the right direction. Me (Shreyan Banerjee) and my sister (Shireen Banerjee) have established an independent non profit organisation called 7day_meals. Although it is only a group of 2 people , I believe that even the smallest of groups can  bring about meaningful change just by the power of dedication. On 25th Of April We Decided to prepare a fresh batch of khichadi to serve to the people. Due to COVID, it has become difficult for us to physically serve the people, however thanks to the initiative of GHMC and the #FeedTheNeed Program , we were able to use one of their fridges to store the food and serve the people while maintaining safety protocols.

Our main goal all along has been to source economical and filling food to feed the people without compromising quality in any way. We didn't want to make any sort of trade offs so that they get the freshest food possible.
